I currently have 2 laptops, but one has been sitting on my floor for years unused. I want to turn that old laptop into my "programming" laptop, and keeping my other one as is as my "university" laptop. I don't know what I'm doing, and I don't have much money, so this is going to be an interesting project.
So this is the laptop I want to upgrade. It's a Lenovo IdeaPad S340. I want to add more RAM, more storge, and switch from Windows to Linux. Accourding to this spec sheet it has DDR4 RAM, and a spot for a M.2 2880 solid state drive. I don't really know what this means, but I now know what I need to buy. It also takes really tiny star screws to open up, I don't think I have one that small womp womp.
I really want to get more into programming, computer hardware, and all that nerd stuff. Hopefully this can be a first step into that and I am able to keep that momentum into other projects.
